Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 14 July 2026

Welcome to Dresd. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

Data Type Purpose Description
Name & Email Account management When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email address associated with your account (with Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email). Used to create and identify your account.
User ID App functionality A unique identifier assigned to your account, used to store your wardrobe, sync it across devices, and manage your subscription status.

1.2 Content You Provide

Data Type Purpose Description
Outfit Photos App functionality Full-body photos of your outfits that you choose from your photo library. Photos are processed by our AI to detect and extract individual garments into your digital wardrobe. Original photos are not retained after processing — only the extracted garment images and their details (name, category, color, brand) are stored in your wardrobe.
Profile Details App functionality Optional profile information you enter during onboarding — such as gender, height, weight, age, and style goals — used solely to personalize outfit recommendations.
Wardrobe & Outfit Data App functionality Your catalogued garments, saved outfits, and outfit diary entries, stored securely so your wardrobe stays in sync across your devices.
Stylist Messages App functionality Messages you send to the AI stylist, together with a summary of your wardrobe, are processed to generate outfit recommendations. Recent conversation context may be retained to keep the stylist's replies consistent.

1.3 Data Collected Automatically

Data Type Purpose Description
Approximate Location (IP-based) App functionality We estimate your approximate area from your IP address only to fetch the local temperature for weather-aware outfit suggestions. We never request device location permissions and never collect GPS or precise location data.
Purchase Information App functionality Subscription status and purchase history, processed through Apple's App Store and our subscription-management provider. We never see your payment card details.
Crash Data App functionality Technical information collected when the app crashes, including error logs and device state. Used to identify and fix bugs.
Product Interaction Analytics Information about how you use the app, such as features accessed and navigation patterns. Used to improve the app experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

3. Photos, Face Data, and Image Processing

Outfit photos you provide may incidentally contain your face. Dresd processes photos only to detect and extract clothing items. The App does not use facial recognition, does not identify individuals, and does not create or store biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, or face embeddings.

Face-related visual information is never analyzed, extracted, stored, shared with third parties, or used for identification, profiling, analytics, advertising, or AI model training.

3.1 Photo Retention

Original outfit photos are transmitted securely, processed to extract garments, and are not retained after processing. Only the resulting garment images (clothing cutouts) and their text details are stored as part of your wardrobe, for as long as your account exists or until you delete the piece.

3.2 Image Processing

Uploaded images are processed on secure servers, including by third-party AI vision providers acting strictly on our behalf as data processors. These providers process images solely to generate the garment-extraction output requested by you and are prohibited from storing, sharing, or using your images for any other purpose.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

5. Data Security
