Welcome to Dresd. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services ("the App").
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information

1.2 Content You Provide

1.3 Data Collected Automatically

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Wardrobe Extraction: To process your outfit photos and lift individual garments into your digital wardrobe.
- Styling Recommendations: To generate daily looks and stylist chat responses based on your wardrobe, profile, recent outfits, and local weather.
- Account Management: To create your account, sync your wardrobe across devices, track your subscription status, and provide customer support.
- Notifications: If you allow notifications, to schedule a local daily reminder on your device. Reminders are scheduled on-device; we do not send marketing push notifications.
- Service Improvement: To improve our features, recommendations, and user experience.
- Bug Fixes: To identify, diagnose, and fix technical issues using crash data.
3. Photos, Face Data, and Image Processing
Outfit photos you provide may incidentally contain your face. Dresd processes photos only to detect and extract clothing items. The App does not use facial recognition, does not identify individuals, and does not create or store biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, or face embeddings.
Face-related visual information is never analyzed, extracted, stored, shared with third parties, or used for identification, profiling, analytics, advertising, or AI model training.
3.1 Photo Retention
Original outfit photos are transmitted securely, processed to extract garments, and are not retained after processing. Only the resulting garment images (clothing cutouts) and their text details are stored as part of your wardrobe, for as long as your account exists or until you delete the piece.
3.2 Image Processing
Uploaded images are processed on secure servers, including by third-party AI vision providers acting strictly on our behalf as data processors. These providers process images solely to generate the garment-extraction output requested by you and are prohibited from storing, sharing, or using your images for any other purpose.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party providers (such as Firebase/Google Cloud) who assist in operating the App. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using SSL/TLS protocols
- Secure cloud infrastructure (Firebase / Google Cloud Platform)
- Authentication through Apple and Google — we never see or store your passwords
- Access controls limiting your data to your own account
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the App (Account > Delete Account), or by contacting us.
- Correction: Update your profile details at any time in the App, or request correction of inaccurate information.
- Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Opt-Out: You can disable notifications or stop using the App at any time.

7. Children's Privacy
Dresd is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in compliance with applicable laws.
9. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google): For authentication, database storage, cloud functions, and crash reporting. See the Firebase Privacy Policy.
- Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In: For account authentication. Subject to Apple's and Google's privacy policies.
- RevenueCat: For subscription and purchase management. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- AI Processing Services: For garment detection, garment image generation, and stylist recommendations. These providers act as data processors under our instructions and do not independently access, store, or use your data for any other purpose.
- Open-Meteo: For local weather data. Only approximate coordinates (derived from your IP address) are sent — never your identity.
- App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases. Subject to Apple's privacy policy.
10. Retention Period
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, your wardrobe, profile, and associated personal information are deleted. Residual copies in secure backups are removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
